Rachel is delighted to guide young musicians towards independence and agency, developing their vocal and musical identity. She has a masters in choral conducting from Yale School of Music and is experienced in teaching choruses, music theory, voice, keyboard skills and musicianship to various age groups and experience levels. She has directed conservatory youth choirs ranging from elementary school to high school ages, as well as choirs in community, semi professional, professional, opera choruses and liturgical contexts including the Yale University Church choir, The Jerusalem Vocal Consort, HaZamir Choral Foundation and many more. Starting in the Autumn of 2025 she will serve as the Music director of the Cambridge Jewish Choir "Kol Echad", and as a Choral Graduate for Gonville & Caius College.
Rachel is committed to empowering each individual in the ensembles she leads, alongside fostering quality ensemble singing and cooperation skills. She advocates for exposure to a variety of styles and methods among individual students and groups alike, and is excited to aid each student in realising their talent and potential to their fullest.
